Olaf Zimmermann, publicist, art dealer, was managing director of various galleries. In 1987 he founded his own gallery for contemporary art in Cologne and Mönchengladbach. Since 1997 Zimmermann has been managing director of the German Cultural Council, the umbrella organisation of the federal cultural associations in Berlin. He is also publisher and editor-in-chief of Politik & Kultur, the newspaper of the German Cultural Council. In 2018, 2019 and 2020 he was chairman of the main jury of the German Video Game Award.
