Pia Spangenberger studied economics in Cologne and New York. In 2016, she received her Doctor of Philosophy in vocational education at the Technical University of Berlin on the subject of sustainability and the career choice of women. Her research focuses on career choice and its aspects of gender equality, sustainability values and and the effects of digital media, especially serious games. Currently, she is leading the research project MARLA. In this project a game-based Mixed Reality learning application for the wind power industry will be developed and evaluated.
